This is for you if
You own a deck, or want one, and freeze when you pull a card.
You’ve read the tarot books and watched the videos, but the meanings don’t stick.
You want to learn with other people, not alone with a screen.
You’d like tarot to be something you practice, not something you memorize.
You learn better in community and kinesthetically
If the cards feel overwhelming to decipher
Overcome perfectionism and impostor syndrome as a new tarot reader
Learning in body-oriented methods like movement, art, and voice work
Learning in community in a small facilitated cohort
Why learn it this way
Most beginner tarot teaching hands you 78 meanings to memorize. You end up either stiff and reciting, or guessing and doubting yourself.
In this group, you learn to notice first.
What do you see? Where does it land in your body?
Then we bring in the traditional meanings. You leave with a method that works with any deck, and a practice you can keep going on your own.
What the 8 weeks look like
Small group: [6-10] people, so everyone is seen and heard.
Live sessions: [day/time, length, online or in person].
Weekly practice: short, doable, and built around your own deck.
Over the 8 weeks: you’ll work with the Major Arcana, the four suits, court cards, better questions, simple spreads, and the basics of reading for others.
What you’ll leave with
A way to read a card using what you see and feel first, then the book
Confidence reading for yourself without spiralling
Practice with the cards, and with each other, in a group that’s done the same work

Meet your teacher
I’m Mariana, a tarot reader and singer-songwriter based in Asheville, North Carolina. I’ve read for over 20 years, and I run small groups because I’ve found that people learn tarot best when they’re not doing it alone. My approach is about turning insight into action, not spiritual bypassing.

A few questions
Do I need to know anything already? No. This is for true beginners.
Do I need a deck? Yes, but you don’t have to buy one yet. I’ll send guidance on choosing one when you join the waitlist.
Is this fortune-telling? No. We use tarot to notice what’s already true for you and decide what to do about it, not to predict the future.
What does it cost? Price and details will be shared when doors open. Waitlist members see them first, with no obligation.
What if I can’t make every session? [Your policy, for example: sessions are recorded.]
